With the aim to at expand the availability and reach of its products and services in India, Cybersecurity firm Fortinet launched two dedicated data centres located in Pune and Bangalore.
The introduction of new data centres is an addition to Fortinet’s existing Development Centre and Support Centre investments in India. The cybersecurity major said it aims to meet the growing demand for secure connections by expanding coverage for Fortinet Universal SASE, FortiCloud, and FortiGuard AI-Powered Security Services.
Vishak Raman, Vice President of Sales, India, SAARC, SEAHK & ANZ, at Fortinet, said, “…the demand for cloud-delivered security that transcends traditional network boundaries has become paramount. Citing its internal report, the company said that the work landscape in India has seen a shift with 94% of the workforce engaging in either hybrid or fully remote working models. On average, this necessitates over 40 connections to third-party cloud applications, thereby significantly enlarging an organisation’s attack surface and posing challenges to enterprise security.
Fortinet notes that to navigate this, an increasing number of businesses are adopting cloud-delivered services to securely connect their hybrid workforce.

According to Fortinet, their FortiGuard AI-Powered Security Services stand at the forefront, offering market-leading, AI-enabled security capabilities. It continually assesses risks and autonomously responds to and counters known and unknown threats across a distributed network.
