Bangladesh agreed to sign the MoU in a meeting with the representatives of the relevant ministries of Uzbekistan after expressing interest in using software made in Bangladesh and outsourcing services related to business processes in foreign countries

Dhaka —Uzbekistan wants to take ‘IT enabled’ services from Bangladesh. On the other hand, Bangladesh wants to take part in the research and development of the country.

To this end, the two countries have agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding. The two sides agreed during a meeting in Tashkent on Sunday with a delegation of Bangladeshi IT businessmen led by State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Olimjan Imarav, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan on Digital , and Minister for Innovative Development Ibrokhim Y Abdur Akhmanov.

The representatives of Bangladesh agreed to sign the MoU in a meeting with the representatives of the relevant ministries of Uzbekistan after expressing interest in using made in Bangladesh and services related to business processes in foreign countries.

After a detailed discussion on various issues of mutual interest, including , the two countries have agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding in October, the public relations department at the ICT ministry told reporters.

In addition, contributing to the country’s technology sector through joint ventures, Palak assured the Uzbek government of technical assistance if requested. The state minister for ICT highlighted the initiatives to implement the Digital Bangladesh vision.

Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, “Uzbekistan has asked us for technical assistance.” He also said that after considering these proposals and possibilities, there will be an agreement with Uzbekistan on the exchange of technology, manpower, or services.
