GE Healthcare CHRO Rohit Vishal Gupta to join IT major Wipro in Global HR role

Gupta has more than 22 years of experience working across the Healthcare, Packaging & Printing, FMCG and Garment industries

In top management rejig, Wipro CHRO – South Asia, Rohit Vishal Gupta announced his exit from the company. In his earlier role, Gupta also headed CSR and Education Solutions Initiative at the company.

“Today is my last day at the iconic organisation GE. The last four years will always have a place of pride in my heart and in my career for being the most transformative, educative and growth-oriented years in my career. Can’t thank all my colleagues and seniors enough for having guided, coached, advised me in this journey,” Gupta said in a post.

An MA from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and a BSc from University, Gupta is all set to join the information major Wipro in the Global leadership role. He has more than 22 years of experience working across the Healthcare, Packaging & Printing, FMCG and Garment industries.

Gupta has earlier worked with top companies including FMCG major ITC. With ITC it was his longest stint of over 18 years. Before joining GE Healthcare, Gupta worked as Head – HR and Management Committee Member at ITC where he was responsible for Printing and Packaging Business operations along with providing strategic HR leadership to the printing and packaging business of ITC.

Gupta started his career with ITC in 1999 and worked there for five years as Assistant HRM – Various Locations (Tobacco Business). In 2004, he joined Surya Nepal where he worked for over two years, before rejoining ITC in 2006 in the personal care products business in its startup phase.
