Dhaka — The , the top organization, has announced the names of three startups that have won ‘Solveathon Powered by MIT Solve’.

The three winning startups are Team Aftergrad, Team Sushastho, and Team Krishop.

Arrangements will be made to fund the selected 3 startups and participate in the MIT Solve 2021 Global Challenge.

The names of the three startups were announced at an event titled FBCCI Solveathon Powered by MIT Solve on Wednesday.

FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim delivered the welcome address.

City Group Managing Director Shekhar Rajasekharan and former FBCCI Adviser MA Abdul Hannan were present on the occasion. The event was hosted by Sonia Bashir Kabir, Advisor, FBCCI Center.

On January 30, a virtual workshop was organized in collaboration with the Institute of Technology (MIT) Solve and managed by the FBCCI Tech Center.

Initially, 202 people were selected from different districts of the country including Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Khulna in the workshop.

A total of 20 teams were formed with the participating candidates. Out of these 20 teams, the best 3 teams were selected after various skills tests.

FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim said the event was organized to find talented youth in the country.

There will be many opportunities in Bangladesh in the future so those who could not win today have nothing to be disappointed with.

He said: “ this generation must continue the progress of development of Bangladesh. You are LDC Graduate Bangladesh, SDG Targeted Bangladesh, and 2041 Developed Bangladesh.”

Participants in the FBCCI Virtual Solvent are working on four themes for the MIT 2021 Challenge.

The themes are Resilient Ecosystem: Preserving and Strengthening Ecosystem Services with Carbon Mitigation, Health Security and Pandemics: Protecting People from Health Threats and Outbreaks of Diseases, Equitable Classrooms and Learning Spaces Justice: Ensuring a fair connection between digital commerce and public service for everyone.
