Razorpay names Murali Brahmadesam Chief Technology Officer

Earlier the post of CTO was held by Razorpay’s Co-Founder Shashank Kumar who will now take on the designation of Co-Founder and Managing Director.

BFSI major Razorpay has announced to onboard Murali Brahmadesam as Head of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer. According to the company, Brahmadesam in his new role will drive the overall engineering strategy and development at Razorpay, while driving the stellar growth of Razorpay Engineering.

Earlier the post of CTO was held by Razorpay’s Co-Founder Shashank Kumar who will now take on the designation of Co-Founder and Managing Director at the company.

“Brahmadesam brings together in-depth knowledge of managing diverse technology functions at scale. He has spent a major share of his at Amazon and , working in India and the where he held several technology and leadership roles,” the company said in a statement.

Speaking on the appointment of new CTO, Shashank Kumar, co-Founder and Managing Director, Razorpay, said, “Engineering has been the bedrock of growth for Razorpay since its inception. MEIL, Abu Dhabi’s Analog to invest up to $500 millon in India AI joint venture
