Deepening tech ties with India, Israel-based has announced to launch of its smart air management platform in India. According to the company, a new facility for the project is already operational in and is in the process of building a pipeline of prospective individual and enterprise customers.

At present the product is only made in Israel, the company said it is also exploring local manufacturing in India in the long term. Aura Air purifiers detect, capture, and kill 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, and mold and can remove airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, including allergens and viruses.

These IoT-enabled devices connect to a mobile phone and deliver real-time updates on the overall indoor and outdoor Air Quality Index (AQI) based on VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds), CO2 (Carbon Dioxide), CO (Carbon Monoxide), and fine particulate matter levels.

Founded in 2018 by entrepreneurs Eldar Shneiderman and Aviad Shneiderman, Aura Air is currently sold in 87 countries and used by marquee brands including the Sheraton, Hilton, CBRE, Subway, Coca-Cola, and Audi among others.

Aura Air spokespersons said the company has also successfully cleared clinical trials confirming their effectiveness against the coronavirus in a study conducted at Sheba Medical Centre and the results have been published in the world Journal of Surgery and Surgical Research. Aura Air is also in the process of getting the Food and Drug Administration, USA approval.

“We believe that Aura Air has entered the Indian market at a very interesting time especially when people understand the need and requirement to invest in a holistic air purification solution. Our products have been successful in filtering the Covid-19 virus and have been validated in India by NABL accredited laboratories.

We are confident that individuals and companies will see value in our product especially as offices have reopened and theatres, malls, and restaurants are now at full capacity. We are expanding in India by creating a network of distributors and partners who are helping us spread the technology of Aura across customers in India,” Bharadwaj PV, Managing Director of Aura Air India, said.

In India, Aura Air is priced at Rs 37,500 for the base variant. Aura Business (Enterprise solution) is available from a starting price of Rs 48,500. Aura Mini is available for Rs 13,000.

STMicro quarterly profit declines by 18.4% owing to slow demand
