Which Version of Roulette Pays Out the Best?

European Roulette and French Roulette offer a better chance of winning compared to other versions of the game. This is because the wheel in these uses 37 pockets with one green 0. In American Roulette and some of the other versions of Roulette, the wheel has 38 pockets with a 0 and 00 space in green.

The green pockets give the house the edge over the player, as anytime the ball lands here, the player’s even money bets are lost. As a result, American Roulette has a slightly higher house edge and offers a lower chance of winning in comparison. Although American Roulette is fun to play, you should ideally avoid . For even-money bets, European and French Roulette offer a win percentage chance of 48.65%, while American Roulette gives 47.37%.

French Roulette Win Chance

French Roulette has a higher return to player rate than other versions of the game due to the two unique rules of En Prison and La Partage. These rules both lower the house edge by changing what happens when the ball lands on the green. Normally, players lose their bet if it lands here, but with French Roulette, a bet on any of the even money bets will mean the player’s stake is halved, with one half kept by the and the other returned to them.

This rule is known as La Partage and is always in play. However, players can also request En Prison. With En Prison, the player’s bet is then placed in prison for the next spin. If their bet wins, they receive the bet back in full. These rules are offered at casinos in France and other countries too.

Using Roulette Strategy to Improve Your Chances

Roulette might be a game of chance, but there are ways you can try to improve your chances of success. You can for instance learn a strategy and apply it in such a way that it allows you to harness your Roulette knowledge to improve your payouts.

This is especially true in the case of European Roulette, where the rules are quite basic. You can apply a negative or positive progressive betting strategy, where you change your bet size with each win or loss.

No matter which strategy you use, you should always remember that the house has an advantage. The game is based on maths, and studies have shown that it is not possible to beat the odds. You can get lucky and make some big wins, or you can win consistently for a time, but in the end, the casino will most likely beat you. That’s why it’s a good to play in short sessions and focus on having fun rather than making money.

Is it Worth to Play Other Types of Roulette?

While European and French Roulette are both widely regarded as the two best options to play, there are loads of other variations of the game. These include multiball, multi-wheel, auto Roulette and many more. These games all add unique features and rules to make Roulette more exciting, and they’re worth experiencing at least once. However, if you’re looking to maximise your winning potential and avoid making losses, it’s best to stick to French or European Roulette.
