In a major on website reported last week the cyber hackers were able to take down the portal for a few hours with major ministry data likely to be compromised. The Iran government has confirmed that the cyberattack, led portal pages go offline.

“The issue is under investigation by technical experts of the Ministry,” the Ministry of Road and was quoted by Iranian news network Press TV as saying on Saturday.

The attack also came around the same time when major chaos was reported across the country's train stations following a data breach and the computer systems across the country's railway networks compromised.

Meanwhile, Press TV reported that “hackers had managed to infiltrate systems displaying arrivals and departures.” Iran's Telecommunications Ministry warned on Saturday of possible attacks, urging government departments to be in close contact with information security agencies if they receive any ransomware message.
