The minister made the remarks while addressing a function as the chief guest at the PIB-A2I Media Awards-2021 at the Press Institute auditorium.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Zafar Wazed, Director-General of PIB presided over the function as special guests. Murad Hasan, Information and Broadcasting Secretary, Maqbool Hossain, and A2I project director. Md. Abdul Mannan, PAA spoke.

The information minister said, “Even though online and TV slots have been used for a long time due to the Corona epidemic, students are suffering a lot due to not being able to take classes normally.”

To make up for this loss, we have decided to launch BTV's education channel as soon as possible on behalf of the Ministry and Bangladesh Television, he uttered.

“Noting that the Prime Minister has kept the entire machinery of government fully operational in the midst of lockdowns, holidays and shutdowns in the country, the Information Minister said that the Prime Minister is now holding virtual cabinet meetings.”

Mentioning that it has become possible as the country has gone digital today, Minister Hasan Mahmud said, “I am deeply grateful to the Prime Minister for this.”Because, under his leadership, Bangladesh has gone digital.”

There is no alternative to digital literacy in the field of journalism, the Information Minister said, “Soon we will start e-literacy training for journalists across the country including Dhaka and Chittagong.” State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak in his speech highlighted various aspects of the progress of Digital Bangladesh and said, “Our respect in the world has increased manifold due to Bangladesh being digital.”

The guests handed over the to seven journalists in seven categories for reporting on Digital Bangladesh.
