Bangladesh: Helpless-poor to get food through Vidyananda in E-food order

Dhaka — If a user order food on E-food, one of the most popular food supply platforms in , the helpless and poor will received one-time food for Sehri.

E-food will pay the , a welfare platform for destitute and children for the sehri meal of a helpless person against every order of Tk700 or more. And with that money, Vidyananda will deliver food to the helpless and poor people.

This information was given in a press release on Saturday by the company owned by E-food, .

According to the press release, if a customer orders food worth Tk 700 or more on the e-Food platform and pays the price, one person's food will be paid to Vidyananda for each order.

, managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of Evaly, said the customer will get what he orders. We will pay Vidyananda a certain amount of money for a man's sehri against that order. Orders worth Tk 700 or more every four days will be given to Vidyananda together as per the order.

Arif R. Hossain, Chief Marketing Officer of the company, said, “We believe that we have a responsibility towards the neglected and helpless sections of the society.” We have taken such an initiative from that realization. And our customers will successfully implement this initiative. Those who would order here also involved themselves with this great social initiative. We have received 235 such orders in four days starting from 19th April to 23rd April.

That means we are going to pay for the food of 235 people to Vidyananda. More orders will come this month of fasting and we hope to be able to help more people.

Welcoming the initiative of Evely and E-food, Vidyananda Foundation executive member Zakir Hossain Pavel said, “Many people have the mentality of feeding the starved people, but it is not possible due to lack of proper platform.” Through Evaly's new initiative, thousands of people will order food as well as deliver food to street children, which is both inspiring and exemplary.
