Top cybersecurity expert Agnidipta Sarkar joins Biocon as Group CISO

Top techie Agnidipta Sarkar has joined Biocon as Group CISO. The top cybersecurity expert was earlier working at CMS services where he has served his tenure of two years as Director Cybersecurity.

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, led Biocon is an Indian company headquartered in Bangalore. The company is into manufacturing generic active ingredients.

According to Biocon, in this new role, Sarkar will be leading the cybersecurity and risk management domains at the biopharmaceutical company. With over three decades of experience in the cybersecurity vertical, Sarkar has worked with top global companies including CMS IT services, DXC Technologies, HPE and HP Inc.

While working with CMS IT services as Director Cybersecurity, Sarkar also led the transformation of cybersecurity hygiene and a few new-age digital security projects. Sarkar was also behind a range of cybersecurity practices addressing the latest challenges as the most reliable cybersecurity systems integrator in India.

Avid reader, Sarkar has also penned “Defensible Cybersecurity” as the new approach to cybersecurity based on ISO27001 and its family of standards, Lockheed Martin’s Cyber-Kill-Chain, NIST cybersecurity framework, and C2M2, Biocon said.
