IIT Delhi, DTU, GGSIP University students qualify for final round of global telecom competition in Stockholm

A team of engineering students from IIT Delhi, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Delhi Technological University have qualified for global competition organised by telecom gear maker Ericsson.

A team of engineering students from , Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Delhi Technological University have qualified for global competition organised by telecom gear maker . In its final leg-up Swedish firm has announced the four finalists for the Ericsson Innovation Awards 2018 in which these teams will compete for EUR 50,000 in cash and prizes during Grand Final Event at the Nobel Museum in Stockholm, Sweden on May 17, 2018.

In this competition Ericsson invites university students to collaborate with Ericsson experts to envision the future of ICT. The theme for this year competition is “The Future of Truth”. Students have been asked address how technology can improve the way world find, validate, and share truth in the age of ICT.

More than 1400 university teams representing 107 countries entered the competition to present their innovative solutions and four teams have now emerged including teams from India, USA, China and Senegal.

From India, the team comprises of Kumar Neelabh, Prashasti Sharma, Shaurya Chaturvedi and Yashish Dua – who are students of IIT Delhi, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Delhi Technological University. Their platform summarizes and simplifies user agreements to help consumers make informed decisions.
