, a revenue intelligence company specialising in go-to-market strategies for developer-centric businesses, has announced a successful $1.2 million pre-seed round.

led the investment, with contributions from key angel investors in the developer infrastructure domain, including Adam Frankl, Savin Goyal, and Shraddha Gupta.

Reo.Dev is developing an AI-powered marketing stack to help tech companies harness developer intent signals. This solution aims to streamline sales processes by analysing data from open-source, public, and first-party sources, thereby facilitating more targeted and efficient marketing strategies, said the company.

“The sales processes for new age tech companies are changing. Historically, there was just the business buyer who was a key decision maker. But now there is an additional, increasingly influential buyer – the developer or the tech user. We feel the sales tooling for this changed GTM motion will be fundamentally different and we are building for that,” said Achintya Gupta, Co-founder and CEO, Reo.Dev.

The startup said it aims to bridge the gap for companies targeting developer-focused markets by uncovering hidden developer activities and translating them into actionable insights for sales and marketing teams. This approach enables companies to pinpoint potential customers with higher conversion likelihoods and optimise their marketing campaign ROI.

Developers are increasingly recognised as critical stakeholders in technology purchasing decisions. The 2023 StackOverflow Survey highlighted that 66% of developers play a significant role in their organisations' technology acquisitions.

Similarly, a report by The Boston Consulting Group on ‘The Growing Influence of Developers in Enterprise Tech Sales' has pointed out the rising impact of developers on purchasing decisions.
