Cybersecurity startup Dazz names SentinelOne Vet Jared Phipps as chief revenue officer

Jared Phipps brings over two decades of cybersecurity expertise to Dazz, notably from his recent role as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Solution Engineering at SentinelOne

Security remediation startup has appointed Jared Phipps as the company's new (CRO). The move comes as the company is poised for significant expansion, with a focus on broadening its product lineup and catering to a rapidly increasing enterprise customer base.

Phipps brings over two decades of cybersecurity expertise to Dazz, notably from his recent role as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Solution Engineering at , where he played a crucial role in elevating the company's Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) from $10 million to over $650 million within six years, said a statement.

Prior to joining Dazz, Phipps made substantial impacts at Fidelis Cybersecurity and MITRE, and he has a background as a U.S. Air Force veteran, contributing to the America's cyber defense and offense strategies.

On his transition to Dazz, Phipps stated, “It's not a conventional decision to shift from a publicly traded company to an early-stage startup, but it was a no-brainer when I came to know the team at Dazz.”

He further asserted Dazz's unique position in the market, offering unified visibility and remediation across diverse security issues and technological infrastructures, a critical factor in improving customer remediation operations, especially in response to evolving SEC disclosure rules.

The cybersecurity startup said it has entered fiscal year 2025 on a high note, reporting a fourfold increase in revenue growth year-over-year for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024. The company recently introduced its Unified Remediation Platform, designed to offer Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) comprehensive visibility across various domains such as code, clouds, applications, and infrastructure, facilitating faster and more efficient risk management.

Backed by leading venture capital entities like Insight Partners, Greylock, Index Ventures, and Cyberstarts, Dazz is extending its operational footprint across North America, Europe, and the Middle East to better serve its expanding enterprise customer base, which now includes 20% of Fortune 1000 companies, said the company.
