Intel joins global tech companies in blocking Russian tech exposure

Top technology majors including Apple, Microsoft, and Alphabet, along with other global consulting and accounting firms have closed operations in Russia.

Joining ranks with the global technology giants to block Russian tech exposure further, has announced to join the long list of technology companies to exit .

So far top technology majors including Apple, Microsoft, and Alphabet, along with other global consulting and accounting firms have closed operations in Russia following Western sanctions on the country for invading .

Intel continues to join the global community in condemning Russia's war against Ukraine and calling for a swift return to peace. Effective immediately, we have suspended all business operations in Russia,” Intel said in a statement.

According to the company, it has although stopped all its operations in Russia it is still supporting it's over a thousand employee team stationed in Russia. “We are working to support all of our employees through this difficult situation, including our 1,200 employees in Russia. We have also implemented business continuity measures to minimize disruption to our global operations,” Intel said.

In March, Intel said that it has suspended all shipments to customers in Russia and Belarus. Intel has launched an employee donation and matching campaign.
