Hero backed edtech company Vired names Satyajit Menon as HR head

, the edtech arm of Hero Group Monday announced to onboard top executive to lead the company's human resources division. Menon was earlier working with startup unicorn Innovaccer as vice president-people operations.

A part of unicorn Innovaccer, Menon was responsible to deal with the challenges in the US healthcare space. Menon brings along over 20 years of experience across financial services, e-commerce, outsourcing, capital markets, and IT sectors. He has also worked with General Electric, Fidelity Worldwide International, Lehman Brothers, and Snapdeal in the past.

Hero Vired is a startup venture of the Hero Group that offers career-relevant programs, in partnership with world-class universities, to make learners more competent and industry-ready for emerging jobs and professions under Industry 4.1.

In his latest , he will be responsible for building and strengthening the organization's people function. “Having launched just two months ago, we are delighted to have Satyajit join us on our journey of ‘reimagining education',” Akshay Munjal, founder, and CEO, Hero Vired said.

On joining Hero Vired Menon said, “I look forward to working closely with the leadership team to build a workforce that adapts quickly to change, a place where through a culture of learning, curiosity, passion, and velocity can emerge as a highly-skilled, resilient and empathetic group of people.”

In the past, Menon has also played the role of a people-strategy adviser to some of the top new-age tech startups in India and the US. His areas of expertise include employee relations, being an advisor to leadership teams, and putting in place people-friendly work policies.
