HCL prepares plan to vaccinate all India-based workforce before June 30

The company has already vaccinated over 25% of its workforce across group companies including HCL Technologies, HCL Infosystems, and HCL Healthcare

Indian technology giant HCL has prepared a blueprint to vaccinate all its 350,000 India-based employees and their families before June 30. The company, which has already started the vaccination drive in its various campuses has so far vaccinated over 25% of its workforce across group companies including , HCL Infosystems and HCL Healthcare, and and its institutions and have invested Rs 100 crore for the free vaccination service.

The technology company plans to have administered approximately 700,000 doses (including two doses per person) by the end of the drive. The company has been conducting vaccination drives since March 24, offering employees the opportunity to inoculate at clinics managed by HCL Healthcare and at HCL's campuses in Noida, Lucknow, and Chennai.

It is also in the process of making more centres operational in a phased manner. According to , , HCL Technologies the company was taking all necessary steps to push vaccination drive across its offices.

“At HCL we are taking all necessary initiatives to ensure the safe vaccination of employees and their family members as well as third party vendor personnel who have supported us in keeping our business running in these difficult times,”  Apparao VV said.

Apparao further reiterated that the company was working round the clock to provide the best support to our employees and their families at every stage. “Our top-most priority is to vaccinate all our employees and their families as quickly as possible and we have planned to achieve this goal by the end of June,” Apparao VV added.

HCL is also in discussions with vaccine manufacturers and hospitals, to provide COVID-19 vaccination support for its India-based employees.
