A fresh check-up at Delhi's premier hospital found no H1N1. “The Governor who is used to getting his health check-up in Delhi rushed to Apollo hospital there and his H1N1 test was found negative, Raj Bhawan PRO Lokesh Chandra Sharma told reporters.

“The Governor is not suffering from swine flu, and got a minor check-up and treatment for seasonal disease. He will go to Aligarh from Delhi on Tuesday, and attend the marriage of his granddaughter Poornima Singh,” the PRO added.

There has been growing cases of H1N1 in Rajasthan. According to reports, of 10,978 samples tested for swine flu, 1,090 people were detected positive, and of which 97 have succumbed to the illness in the state since January 1. Jaipur has reported maximum 30 deaths as of now.

State BJP lost some of its top leaders in 2017 – Ajmer MP Sanwar Lal Jat, Alwar MP Chand Nath, Mandalgarh MLA Kirti Kumari and Khadi Board chairman Shambhu Dayal Badgujjar and 20-point vice-chairman Digamber Singh for various illness.

Among them, BJP MLA from Mandalgarh constituency Kirti Kumari died due to swine flu. She had defeated Congress candidate Vivek by a huge margin in the 2013 assembly election. She was admitted to Fortis Hospital from the state-run Sawai Man Singh Hospital following complication in breathing due to swine flu. It is the same hospital where governor has gone for check-up.
