Car services startup Pitstop to skill and onboard 60,000 auto mechanics

Doorstep car service & repairs provider plans to onboard 60,000 auto mechanics over the next 5 years as part of its aggressive expansion strategy in India, said a senior executive. The company currently has operations in India and Singapore and will be expanding exponentially in the next 5 years, both in India and internationally.

“Our mission at Pitstop is to organise the car services sector by empowering auto mechanics with credible skillset and employing them as professionals with a study career and growth path. Auto industry is going through a massive change with talks of EV, AV, IoT etc and this requires a completely different skillset than what is traditionally available. Pitstop wants to lead the change by reskilling the workforce that is more in tune with changing times,” said Mihir Mohan, CEO & Founder, Pitstop.

“We are determined to support at least 60,000 auto mechanics pan-India within the next 5 years, and onboard them in new cities as we expand our presence in India. They will drive Pitstop's growth in top gear.” Mihir said.

Pitstop Launched in 2015 owns inspection mechanism and service centre network across the country. It offers standardized service model at transparent, economical and convenient car services solution. Recently launch its operation in Singapore.

Founded by Mihir Mohan, Pitstop is a Bangalore based Start-Up with operations in Bangalore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad.

Mihir, an IIT-Kanpur alumnus, started on his professional journey as an Engineer with Virtusa and has steadily worked his way through two prior Start-Ups called N-net Technologies and Unamia.
