Finally, HMD Global has announced the availability of Nokia 8 in India. According to statement from Finnish firm, Nokia 8 is available on Amazon.in along with retail outlets in India. Nokia 8 smartphone was launched in August 2017. Priced at Rs 36,999, the Nokia 8 is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Nokia 8 packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 13-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
Nokia 8 carries forward the legendary Nokia – ZEISS partnership. The Nokia 8 comes with a ZEISS powered dual camera setup at the rear – a primary 13MP RGB (color) sensor with optical image stabilisation paired with a 13MP secondary monochrome (black and white) sensor. Both cameras have an aperture of f/2.0 and the setup comes with phase detection auto-focus and a dual-tone flash. The rear camera(s) can also record video in 4K resolution.
The phone comes with a 5.30-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels at a PPI of 554 pixels per inch. Nokia 8 price in India starts from Rs. 36,999. The Nokia 8 runs Android 7.1.1 and is powered by a 3090mAh non removable battery. It measures 151.50 x 73.70 x 7.90 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 160.00 grams.
The Nokia 8 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope and Barometer.
Nokia 8 and Reliance Jio Offers
Company informed that Jio customers will get up to 100GB additional 4G data on Nokia 8. An additional 10GB Jio 4G data with every recharge of Rs. 309 or above, limited to 10 recharges till August 31, 2018. Nokia 8 consumers will also have access to special Nokia Mobile Care Concierge Service in 50 cities across the country. Nokia 8 consumers from these 50 cities can avail of Nokia Mobile Care services from the convenience of their homes.
