is reportedly planning to unveil its next-generation foldable smartphone in February of next year. According to a new report from Digital Chat Station, Huawei will launch its next-generation foldable device in February 2022, most likely alongside the company's flagship Mate 50 series phones.

According to the report, the company is currently conducting tests on the under-display fingerprint sensor and OLED display for the next generation of foldable smartphones.

The phone is expected to feature Samsung Display's POL-LESS OLED technology, which could boost the phone's brightness by 20% to 30%.

Huawei's foldable smartphone lineup includes the Mate X, Mate Xs, and Mate X2.

Additionally, the brand is developing a phone with an inward folding display for release by the end of this year. It, like the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 2, will feature an inward folding display.

Huawei previously filed a patent for smartphones with an embedded selfie camera. Two patents filed by the Chinese technology giant in 2019 have been published by the CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Office).

Additionally, the patents reveal that the phone, like the Mate 30 Pro, will lack volume buttons. Users will be able to adjust the volume via a virtual slider.

The devices' fronts are shown to be bezel-free and devoid of any notch for a selfie camera, while there is no visible mechanism for a pop-up camera.
