CES 2018: Google is serious about Google Assistance and it’s visible all over Las Vegas

With its massive investment in artificial intelligence and products like Google Assistance, search giant Google is gearing up to make its presence felt at this year CES like never before.

Few days away from the official start of and most of the journalist who covers technology and consumer electronics have started getting feeders from companies about their upcoming launches during the mega event. Every year big giants such as Amazon or Samsung dominates CES but this year, it is likely to be someone else – that's what Las Vegas strips and Monorails are indicating.

With its massive investment in artificial intelligence and products like , search giant Google is gearing up to make its presence vocal at this year CES like never before. There has been decent growth in the sale of its smart home devices – Google Home Mini and tech giant seems to be upbeat about showing the growing capabilities of its Google Assistance.

If you recall Google hardware event of October last year, in which it launched Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixelbook laptop and Google Home speakers – all these device had one thing in common – they all had Google Assistance and Google ensured that message goes out loud and clear that it was very serious about artificial intelligence, machine learning and cognitive computing.

According to THE VERGE, Google is setting up massive installation at Mandalay Bay convention centre with the branding “Hey Google,” indicating that Google Assistant is going to be its main focus. One has to see, what comes out with. had dominated CES in the past. This year Google may announce partnership, integration deal and new capabilities of Google Assistance.

Consumer electronics is really a crowded market with established players, but Google's focus on innovation and partnership has brought quality products and over the past years it has seen decent success in its hardware business, especially with Home Mini. According to TechCrunch it sold “more than one” Home speaker per second since the Home Mini started shipping on October 19, 2017. With its focus on AI, machine learning and integration of Google Assistance with hardware products, the company is likely to show more values to consumer in its offerings during CES 2018.
