Atmanirbhar Bharat: Lava unveils customisable smartphone series developed in India

In a bid to give a push to Prime Minister's Atmanirbhar Bharat scheme, Indian smartphone maker has unveiled the world's first customisable smartphone series ‘MyZ' that allows customers to choose components like camera, memory, storage capacity and colour on their own.

There are 66 such combinations available on the company's website.

The company, along with this, has also launched a range of budget smartphones under Rs 10,000 under the — Z2, Z4 and Z6 – that will be available for purchase from January 11 across online and offline channels.

Lava Mobiles has launched the first phone Lava Z1 that has been designed by its engineers in India. Priced at Rs 5,499, the device comes with 2GB RAM and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection with a military-grade certification.

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek A20 Helio Processor and enhanced with software optimisation and will be available for purchase from January 26.

The other smartphones — Lava Z2, Lava Z4, and Lava Z6 cost Rs 6,999; Rs 8,999 and Rs 9,999, respectively.

Lava is one of the 16 companies that qualified for the production linked incentive (PLI) scheme of the government.
