Apple scraps launch discount, now ‘most affordable’ MacBook Air to cost Rs 1 lakh

The company launched the M1 MacBook Air at a starting price of Rs 92,900 in November 2020. After price hike, the base variant of the MacBook cost Rs 99,900.

Global technology giant has unveiled its all-new MacBook Air laptop with its latest M2 chipset at WWDC 2022. According to the company, the new MacBook Air comes with a 13.6-inch display and its price starts at Rs 1,19,900.

Earlier available at an attractive launch discount, the company has henceforth hiked the prices of the new MacBook, its most affordable MacBook Air, — with an M1 processor — in India.

The Apple MacBook Air launched in 2020 has received a price hike of Rs 7,000 in India. The company launched the at a starting price of Rs 92,900 in November 2020.

After the price hike the customers will now have to shell out Rs 99,900 for the base variant of MacBook Air M1 laptop. On the other hand, the 8GB+512GB variant will now cost Rs 1,19,900. To recall, Apple launched the 8GB+512GB version at Rs 1,17,900.

The new Apple MacBook Air M1 sports a 13.3-inch True Tone Retina display with 2560×1600 pixel resolution. The device is powered by an octa-core Apple M1 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 2TB of onboard storage.

The lightweight and thin laptop pack a 49.9Wh battery which promises to deliver up to 15 hours of battery backup. The laptop uses a 30W USB Type-C charger for charging.

Apple MacBook Air M1 features stereo speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos. It comes with an HD webcam and will also receive a MacOS Ventura update.
