China Mobile launches 5G smart hub ‘Forerunner One’ with Android 9

China Mobile launched a 5G mobile smart hub “” during the Mobile World Congress 2019, Barcelona.

The device is powered by Qualcomm's , and it supports Sub-6 GHz 5G frequency, including 2.6 GHz band. According to company executives, the product can concurrently convert high-speed 5G data into Wi-Fi and WiGig signal, allowing access to 5G on multiple devices at home, on the go and for enterprise use.

Loaded with Android 9.0 operating system and AI voice assistant, ‘Forerunner One' supports multiple applications and creates 5G and AI experience.

As one of China Mobile's “5G Device, Forerunner Initiative” achievements, “Forerunner One” is expected to hit the market with users in the first half of 2019.
