Avaya India chief Vishal Agrawal hails Budget 2023 focus on AI, 5G, MSMEs in India’s journey to $5 trillion economy

The Union has been widely anticipated by the Indian tech industry and it has not disappointed. With a clear focus on technology and digital, the budget aims to establish India as a digital nation, providing numerous opportunities for the country's growth, said an industry leader.

“We appreciate the government's continuous focus on the technology sector with the Budget 2023-24,” said , Managing Director, . “The introduction of three centers of excellence for artificial intelligence to enable ‘Make AI for India' and ‘Make AI work for India' is something to look forward to for the upcoming digital nation.”

The budget has outlined various initiatives for skill development and research in cutting-edge fields like AI, robotics, and 5G, which are encouraging for the IT industry. Avaya said it is ready to support the government's efforts in empowering the MSMEs and helping them to scale up with the help of their robust and collaborative solutions.

The government's decision to set up 100 labs for 5G solutions across engineering colleges and the announcement around the National data governance framework will provide a boost to students, Indian start-ups, and researchers. This will help the country achieve its vision for a $5 trillion economy.
