Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, has launched its new AI-powered digital platform called Travel Companion, which has been developed with the help of consulting services firm Accenture.

The Travel Companion aims to streamline the travel process by consolidating various travel services, including accommodations, transport, dining, and activities, into a single, easy-to-use platform.

According to a senior executive, this approach not only simplifies the booking process for users but also enhances their overall travel experience by providing a one-stop solution for all travel-related needs.

The airline said that the new platform uses artificial intelligence to deliver personalised services and displays only verified and reliable information. Saudia plans to enhance the Travel Companion with additional features such as voice commands and various digital payment options in future updates.

One notable upcoming feature is the integration with a telecom e-SIM card provided by Saudia, which will allow continuous global connectivity and enable users to purchase additional data packages directly through the platform, said the airline.

“We are thrilled to introduce the Travel Companion, a game-changer in the airline industry that will revolutionise the digital travel experience. This platform, resulting from our ongoing collaboration with Accenture, signifies our forward-looking approach to providing guests with unparalleled convenience and flexibility,” stated Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group.
