Global technology giant plans to stall its messaging apps from functioning on some iPhones and devices from November 1. The Facebook-owned company is considering options to cease its support systems running on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, iOS 9, and KaiOS 2.5.0, from the date.

According to the company, users can check if the app will remain compatible with their smartphones by checking their device's OS. The move is likely to impact the Android phones and may hit the likes of top manufacturers including Samsung, LG, ZTE, Huawei, Sony, Alcatel, among others.

Earlier it was reported that WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow its users to hide their ‘Last Seen', which shows the time you were last active, to select a few contacts. As of now, users can share their last seen status with everyone, their contacts or hide it from everyone.

The app is reportedly also testing another feature to let users react to messages with emojis, similar to the feature present on its parent company's Messenger and Instagram Direct Messages.
