Chennai tech firm Tango Eye onboards Arindam Chakraborty as CTO

based computer vision company , which uses AI and ML to convert video data into actionable insights for improved efficiency, has announced the appointment of tech veteran and former vice-president of BNY Mellon Technology, , as its chief technology officer.

According to the company, Chakraborty with about 22 years of experience in leadership, data science, architecture, technology development and management will be responsible for managing the technology, delivery, new generation platform and architecture development, and developing short and long-term technology objectives in line with the long-term company strategy.

By directing our team with his insightfulness, I believe he can come up with high-end analytics for better safety and efficiency in our products and services,” Suren Gounder, founder and CEO of Tango Eye said in a statement.

In the past, Chakraborty has also worked with top tech majors including TCS, Infosys R&D, SAS Institute, Honeywell to acquire technical and managerial know-how in the fields of big data, machine learning and analytics.

In 2017, Chakraborty co-founded , a company delivering analytical solutions to businesses for the last 4-5 years. Before that, he spent close to four years at BNY Mellon Technology as a vice-president, leading the advanced analytics and machine learning team to bolster the company platform.

Tango Eye is backed by unicorn retailer Lenskart through their Vision fund. It is currently present in 1,000+ stores across India, Singapore, and Europe.
