Google News

has launched a digital mobile app under its ‘Nivesh Guru' initiative. This is a learning app that reaches out to LIC MF's pan-India channel partners including banks and LIC agents. The app is known as Talking Assets and is designed by a Mumbai-based Edutech company working in the field of financial literacy and investment education. So far more than 5,000 channel partners have downloaded the app and been trained on it. This app has now been upgraded to include content in Hindi.

, Chief Marketing Officer of LIC Mutual Fund, said, “It is important to include content in Hindi to be accessible to our channel partners in every nook and corner of the country. Hence we decided to upgrade the earlier version.” Patwardhan expects the new version to benefit at least 10,000 more channel partners in the immediate future.

The Indian economy is growing at the rate of over seven per cent per annum. But the majority of the people in tier-2 and tier-3 cities are not able to reap the benefits of this vibrant economy due to lack of financial awareness and unavailability of well-trained, certified financial advisors who can mentor them and provide last mile connectivity. The arrival of the Hindi version of Talking Assets will aid in bridging that gap. Channel partners will now themselves benefit from its rich information in a language they feel comfortable with and will also be able to communicate that information better to potential clients.

Describing the app, Lav Kumar, Head Product & Business Development at LIC Mutual Fund, explained that the app is a low cost, digitally distributed learning platform which provides the channel partners with an easy way to read & understand basics of Mutua Funds with bite-sized, fast-read and information-rich content. It is designed to enhance LIC MF's efforts in large-scale training and certification. It will help in bringing its relationship managers and channel partners in every corner of the country up to speed with the latest developments. It has always been the endeavour at LIC Mutual Fund to help the channel partners & educate them, an informed distributor will be able to advise investors better, he pointed out.
