TTK Prestige chairman TT Jagannathan contributes 10 crore to IIT Madras

He was awarded a gold medal for academic excellence in mechanical engineering, according to the statement. Mr Jagannathan's alma mater named an auditorium after him, the release stated. He is credited with establishing the TTK Prestige and for his accomplishments.

Jagannathan personally inaugurated the auditorium on Friday, the statement stated.

“I have the utmost respect for my alma mater, where I spent many fruitful years. IIT-Madras has developed a reputation as a research and innovation hub. I'm honoured to make a small contribution “Mr Jagannathan was quoted in the release as saying.

Bhaskar Ramamurthi, Director of IIT-M, stated, “We are honoured that his name will be given to our auditorium. He serves as an inspiration to our students and budding entrepreneurs “‘.

Jagannathan received the ‘Distinguished Alumnus Award' in 1996 and was affectionately dubbed the ‘kitchen moghul' for his TTK Prestige cookware, the release added.
