TSPSC Teacher Recruitment 2017: Telangana to hire 8,792 teachers, here’s details

Telangana TSPSC has issued notifications for the recruitment of approximately 8,792 teachers in the School Education Department.

Telangana is planning to hire as many as 8,792 teachers across the state to fulfil the teacher's vacancy and improve quality education. Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) which is a nodal agency to conduct various recruitment examinations in the state has issued notifications in this regard. As per the details of the TSPSC notification, for TSPSC Teacher recruitment 2017, government will hire approximately 8,792 teachers in the School Education Department of the state. In a notification, online TSPSC said that out of the 8,792 vacancies, 5,415 are for secondary grade teacher, 1,941 are for school assistant, 1,011 are for Language Pandit, 416 are for Physical Education Teacher and nine vacancies are for school assistant (physical education).

All the candidates who wish to apply for these jobs will have to apply online for the examination (objective test) that is likely to be held in second week of February, 2018. The application process begins on October 30 and will close on November 30, 2017. The hall ticket for the examination will be available for download a week before the commencement of examination.

TSPSC Teacher Recruitment 2017

As per eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification, a candidate applying for the TSPSC Teacher recruitment 2017 should be of minimum 18 years and maximum 44 years as on July 1, 2017. There is age relaxation for SCs, STs, BCs and some other category of candidates.

While candidates applying for School Assistants, Language Pandits and Secondary Grade Teachers will be selected on the basis of combined marks secured in the written examination to be conducted by the TSPSC (80%) and Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) (20%). Candidates applying for Physical Education Teacher (PET) and School Assistants (Physical Education), will be selected on the basis of marks secured in the written examination either online or OMR based.
