SSC CGL 2017 last date extended to June 19, 5 pm: Here’s how to apply

According to Staff Selection Commission (SSC), now the Tier-1 SSC CGL 2017 exam will be of 60 minutes only instead of 75 minutes (Rep Image)

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the last date to apply for exam. In a notice said, it has extended the last date to June 19, now a candidate can apply apply before 5 pm on June 19, 2017.

According to SSC, the decision to extend the deadline has been taken in the view that some applicants had faced technical problems in the last two days while filling the form and therefore commission has extended the last date. Commission has also said that any candidate who is able to generate challan before 5 pm on June 19, 2017, can make the payment at designated branches of the State Bank of India (SBI) using these challans by June 21 2017.

(SSC) is a nodal agency of government of India for the purpose of recruiting staff for various posts in different central ministries and departments. The SSC CGL 2017 is being conducted by Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of Grade- B and C categories posts in various ministries, departments and government organisations. The written test of this exam includes four tiers; Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4.

How to apply for SSC CGL 2017

  • Go to the official website – ssc.nic.in
  • Read SSC CGL notification and check your eligibility for the same.
  • Click on the link to “Apply”.
  • Select the link for “CGL”.
  • Fill in the details in the fields provided.
  • Submit the application

Now the Tier-1 exam will be of 60 minutes only instead of 75 minutes and the upper age limit for excise inspector, preventive officer and examiner will be 30 years.
