NEET 2018 entrance examination for undergraduate admission into MBBS and BDS courses has been held on Sunday across the country. As many as 13.2 lakh students have appeared for NEET 2018 at 2255 examination centres. According to reports, experts view and students reactions, this year paper was comparatively easier than the last year's. Both Physics and Botany were toughest sections and took away most of the time of the candidates.
Overall NEET 2018 entrance examination was of three hours duration. It had 45 questions each from – Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology – totaling 180 questions. The nature of the questions was of multiple choice question (MCQ) type with four choices of answers and carry four marks. The maximum mark for the exam was 720 and for each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted from the total score. There were 12 sets of questions papers. All papers in different languages were same. Paper was held in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu languages.
NEET 2018 | Physics
Among all the sections, Physics was toughest and lengthy. Even last year too, this section was the toughest one. About 24 questions of Class 12th and 21 questions from Class 11 syllabus were asked. According to reports, Physics section had about 9 moderate, 34 easy and 2 tough questions.
NEET 2018 | Chemistry
Like last year, the Chemistry section was easy to moderate. Out of 45 questions, 20 each were of Class 12th and Class 11th level. Overall, this section had 24 easy, 20 moderate and 1 tough questions.
NEET 2018 | Biology, Botany, Zoology
Biology for medical students has always been an easy paper. This year too Biology section was one of the easiest and less time-consuming. Out of 90 questions that belonged to Biology, Botany, Zoology, most of them were of Class 11th standard. About 46 questions asked from the 12th standard syllabus and 44 questions from the 11th standard syllabus. Overall, this section had 9 difficult questions, 33 moderate questions, and 48 easy questions.
NEET 2018 | What is Good Score?
Overall, in NEET 2018 about 170 questions were based on NCERT and 10 questions were trick-based. Out of total 180 questions, 110 questions were easy; 45 questions were of moderate difficulty level, whereas 25 questions were of high difficulty level. Biology was easy, Chemistry was moderate and Physics was toughest. Marks above 530 should be considered the good score for getting admission into government's medical colleges. For private medical institutes, the marks can go little low.

NEET 2018 Answer Keys
Officially, CBSE will be releasing the NEET 2018 answer keys after few weeks. A notification for the same will be issued by the board. However, medical entrance examination coaching institutes like Allen, Rao, Akash have started sharing NEET 2018 answer keys and question papers. They are not official but more or less the official key will also be the same as these institutes put a lot of effort before publishing the answer keys.

CBSE NEET 2018 Cut-Off, NEET 2018 Rank, NEET 2018 Results, NEET 2018 Counselling
Once the NEET 2018 result is out, which is most likely to happen on June 5, we would be able to know about NEET 2018 Cut-Off marks or NEET 2018 Counselling dates. At this moment, it would be premature to guess anything, a lot of things have changed under NEET 2018.
About CBSE NEET 2018
NEET – UG is an entrance examination for students who wish to study any graduate medical course – MBBS or BDS in government or private medical colleges in India. NEET- UG replaces the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges themselves. Undergraduate courses at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, Postgraduate Institute for Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research JIPMER are outside the NEET's purview.
As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act-1956 as amended in 2016 and the Dentists Act-1948 as amended in 2016, NEET – UG will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in India in medical/dental colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament like AIIMS, JIPMER Puducherry.
