NEET 2017 Exams; Here’s how to crack it neatly

The (NEET) for undergraduate will be held tomorrow across India. A total of 11,35,104 students have registered for the NEET 2017 exam. According to reports, this is a substantial increase in number of registered candidates from previous year. The NEET 2017 UG entrance exam will be held at 104 cities across the country.

Reports are appearing about what will be allowed inside the hall and what type of cloths one should wear for the exam. But there is no need to panic about anything. NEET 2017 is like any other entrance examination in the country.

Goal of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is to conduct free, fair and smooth examination, so that the most eligible student joins for MBBS and BDS courses in the country.

Here are the some basic rules that candidates must follow:

  • Student will be allowed to enter the exam centre after 7.30 am
  • No student will be allowed to the exam hall after 9.30 am
  • Students must show the admit cards to invigilator for cross check before 9.45 am
  • Test booklet will be distributed at 9.45 am
  • Students will be allowed to open the seal of the booklet and take out the answer sheet after 10 minutes (at 9.55 am)
  • The test will begin on 10.00 am and will conclude till 1.00 pm
  • Students must carry the following items with them to the exam hall,
  • Admit card
  • Passport size photograph
  • Postcard size photograph
  • Students must use blue/ black ball point pen, which will be provided at the exam centre

There is relief for those students who have some issue with their signature or photographs on their . Now, they can carry original Aadhaar card or any government photo identity along with them for establishing their identity.

NEET – UG is an entrance examination for students who wish to study any graduate medical course – MBBS or BDS in government or private medical colleges in India. NEET- UG replaces the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges themselves.

Undergraduate courses at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, Postgraduate Institute for Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research JIPMER are outside the NEET's purview.

As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act-1956 as amended in 2016 and the Dentists Act-1948 as amended in 2016, NEET – UG will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in India in medical/dental colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament like AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

The NEET 2017 will be conducted on Sunday, 7th May, 2017. The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and providing All India Rank for the conduct of counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats and for supplying the result to state and other counselling authorities.
