JIPMER MBBS 2017: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER) has released the admit card or hall tickets of the entrance exam for admissions into its MBBS programme. As per JIPMER MBBS 2017 schedule, the common entrance test will be held on June 4 for selecting 200 candidates, out of which 150 will be admitted at the prestigious institute at Puducherry and 50 at the JIPMER, Karaikal. Now the JIPMER MBBS 2017 admit card is available at the official website of the institute. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website of the JIPMER by following instructions.

  • Got to the official website of the institute.
  • Enter your user id and password to download the admit card.
  • Take a printout of the hall ticket and save it on your computer too for future references.

Like any other entrance examination admit card, the admit card of JIPMER has the candidate's name, date of birth, photo, signature image and examination city allotted and roll number. Candidates must carry the admit card to the examination centre along with an Identity (ID) proof in original and a photocopy of the same. According to JIPMER MBBS 2017 rule, candidates are supposed to reach the exam venue two hours before the commencement of the exam to avoid any last-minute hassles and outside students can also reach their centre city one day in advance.

The morning shift exam will start at 10 am and the entry to the centre will close at 9:15 am. The afternoon shift will start at 3 pm and the entry to the centre will close at 2.15 pm. As per the JIPMER pattern, the entrance test will be of two hours and thirty minutes duration. It will be conducted in online mode. There will be 200 objective type questions (MCOs) (60 each from physics, chemistry and biology and 10 each from English language and comprehension and logical and quantitative reasoning).

JIPMER said that the questions will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the state board for the higher secondary students and for CBSE Class 11 and 12. As per the JIPMER rule, the MBBS course at the JIPMER will be of four years and six months duration followed by one year of compulsory rotatory internship for getting the degree. The result or merit list of the test is likely to be declared on or before June 19.

JIPMER MBBS 2017 Exam Pattern

  • Language: The exam will be conducted in English medium.
  • Questions: The question paper will contain 200 multiple-choice questions.
  • Mode of Exam: The exam will be organiSed through CBT (Computer Based Test) mode.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be given for each correct response.
  • Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in this exam.

JIPMER Syllabus

The syllabus for the is based on the syllabus prescribed by State Board Hr. Sec. and CBSE for XI & XII Standards. The questions will be asked from physics, chemistry, Biology, Logic and Quantitative Reasoning and English and Comprehension.

JIPMER 2017 Result

Result is expected to be announced on or before June 19, 2017. According to the report, a merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentile and marks obtained by the candidates.
