GGSIPU PhD Admissions 2017-18: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has started the process of online application for PhD admission for the session 2017-18 on August 31, 2017. The last date to submit the online application form is October 3, 4 pm. This year the admission to PhD programme will be done through Research Aptitude Test (RAT) followed by an interview. Students who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF) / UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / GATE / DBT-JRF / ICMR-JRF / Teacher fellowship or have passed M.Phil. Programme, need not to appear in the RAT. They would directly appear in interview but all such students will have to fill the online application form, said university.
GGSIPU PhD Admissions 2017-18 are opened in the disciplines of Biotechnology, Chemical Technology, Management Studies, Environment Management, Basic & Applied Science, Humanities & Social Sciences, Law & Legal Studies, Mass Communication, Information, Communication & Technology and Medicine & Para Medical Health Sciences. The entrance examination is schedule to take place on October 14 and 15. After announcement of RAT results, the date for interview will be announced. Different departments are likely to announce different dates for interview.

The student who want to apply for GGSIPU PhD Admissions 2017-18 need to fill an online application form. The fees for application is Rs 1000 that needs to be paid online while filling the form. Since, university has a common platform for online application form for different courses, student will have to choose the option of PhD in the drop down menu in the form.

GGSIPU PhD Admissions 2017-18 Eligibility Criteria
All the candidates with Master's Degree or M.Phil from a recognised university are eligible. The general category students should have at least 55% marks in their master's while there is 5% relaxation for reserved category and PWD students.
GGSIPU PhD Admissions 2017 Admit Card
Once the last date to fill the online application ends on October 3, the university will released the admit card. As per previous year schedule, the admit card is likely to be released a week in advance. Once released, GGSIPU PhD Admissions 2017 Admit Card will be available for download online. The applicants who are exempted from PhD Entrance Test should keep the admit card with them and the same has to be produced at the time of interview.
GGSIPU PhD Admissions 2017 Results
To create the final list of the selected candidates, university will give 50% weightage to the marks obtained in written entrance test, 25% to proposed dissertation and 25% to interview/Viva-voce. The candidates who are exempted from written test, will be assessed on interview and their dissertation.
