UP board results 2017 to be declared in first week of June; Here’s how to check

UP board results 2017: The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board will declare the results of its high school (Class 10) and intermediate (Class 12) examinations in the first week of June

UP board results 2017: The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board will declare the results of UP Board class 10 and class 12 results 2017 in the first week of June, said a report. These examinations were held between March 16 and April 21. The and UP Board Class 12 results will be declared at upresults.nic.in.

According to reports, the UP board started evaluation of around 4.6 crore answer sheets from April 27 at 253 centres in the state and 1.37 lakh teachers have been assigned to the task. The evaluation is likely to be completed by May 15, 2017.

UP Education board's secretary Shail Yadav tol HT that board is trying to completed the evaluation at the earliest. “We are trying to complete the evaluation process at the earliest for which directives have already been issued for completing the same in 15 day period. Preparation of results would commence after the completion of the evaluation process,” Yadav was quoted by news daily.

According to board estimates, nearly 60,61,034 students have registered to appear in the high school and intermediate exams. Out of which 34,04,715 enrolled for Class 10 and 26,56,319  for Class 12. As many as 5,94,503 students left examination midway due to strict invigilation.

Earlier the Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education (UPMSP) had to released the revised date sheet for the Class 12 board examinations 2017 due to the state assembly polls.

Generally these exams are held between February and March but this year due to the assembly polls it had to be shifted to mid-March and it concluded in April. The Board had earlier announced the exam schedule on December 8 last year. As per the previous schedule, the examinations were to be held from February 16 to March 20 but the poll panel had asked the board to defer it.

The UP board exams have been marred in the past by charges of mass copying. Although, board took measures to minimise such practices but 1862 students were caught copying and mass copying was reported in some districts due to which 69 exams of different subjects were cancelled and 91 schools were debarred from holding the board exams for the next 5 years.

Before the exams, the board had declared 31 districts as ‘sensitive' which included Sambhal, Hardoi, Shahjahanpur, Moradabad, Gonda, Agra, Aligarh, Haters, Etah, Mainpuri, Firozabad, Azamgarh, Sultanpur, Bhadohi, Allahabad, Kanpur among others.
