Out of 90,000 vacancies, about 74,000 vacancies are in Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF), Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Border Security Force (BSF).

As many as 90,000 are up for grab in 2018. According to multiple reports, Staff Selection Commission () which is a central government nodal agency, will conduct different recruitment examinations throughout the year to fill these vacancies. Out of 90,000 vacancies, about 74,000 vacancies are in Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF), Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Border Security Force (BSF).

In 2018, SSC is expected to conduct recruitment examinations for 30791 vacancies in CRPF, 19952 in RPF, 23444 in BSF, 5463 posts in CISF, 6604 vacancies in SSB, about 757 vacancies in Office of the Directorate General of Assam Rifle, 3869 vacancies in Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and 118 vacancies in National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Eligibility criteria for all these vacancies will depend on the organisation and their rules. However, most of these jobs are open to a person who has passed Class 10th (Matriculation) examination from a recognised board. Age limit will be between 18 to 23 years but relaxation will be offered to candidates from reserved and disable categories. Following are the key details of the vacancies:

Educational Qualification: An applicant should have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) from any recognized board.

Age Limit: Applicants' age should be between 18 and 23 years to apply for this job.

Selection Process: The selection of candidates will purely be based on Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical efficiency test (PET), online written test and later a medical test will be conducted.

How to Apply for Government Jobs via SSC

Step 1: Go to official website of SSC – ssc.nic.in

Step 2: Go to apply section in the header tab

Step 3: As and when SSC release the recruitment notice, a link will be created in the apply section. Search for RECRUITMENT OF GD CONSTABLE, 2018 IN BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, NIA and riflemen. After finding the job click on the given link

Step 4: It will take you to login page. Create login details, if you are not registered. If you already have an account, enter SSC Login

Step 5: Now fill the application form, provide all details mentioned in the form

Step 6: Pay the application fee through online mode or offline (Rs 100)

Step 7: Click the submit button.

Step 8: Save and take a print out of the filled up application form for future references.
