‘Upay’ to transact without internet costs

Dhaka — The newest addition to Bangladeshi mobile ' has brought the opportunity to transact through the app without the cost of internet data. But for now, only subscribers are now can avail this facility.

Of the 15 existing mobile financial service providers, only Upay's customers are able to transact through apps without internet data charges. The GP customers will get Tk35 cash reward and 500 MB internet pack for free for three days only if they download the Way app through self-registration.

Within seven days of new registration, if you recharge Tk50 or more from the app, you will get more Tk25 cash reward.

As a result, even if the internet data is exhausted now, the customer will be able to complete all types of transactions including mobile recharge, bill payment using the means.

United Commercial Bank's (UCB) mobile banking service Upay, which launched in March, has gained popularity in a very short time.

In just three months, the number of subscribers has crossed one million.
