No alternative to acquiring technical skills: Zunaid Ahmed Palak

Zunaid Ahmed Palak further said that Huawei's 'Seeds for the Future is not only developing the future technological skills to develop the ICT talent of the students, but also providing job opportunities to the skilled people in this sector by building an ecosystem.

Dhaka: The State Minister for Information and Communication Technology () said there is no alternative to acquiring technical skills to make the youth fit for the future.

“Young people are the driving force of development.”

He underscored this while addressing the inaugural function of ‘Seeds for the Future 2021' organized by Technologies Limited through Virtual today.

Zunaid Ahmed Palak further said that Huawei's ‘Seeds for the Future is not only developing the future technological skills to develop the ICT talent of the students, but also providing job opportunities to the skilled people in this sector by building an ecosystem.

The state minister said about 1,232 government services have already been digitized under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and under the direction of her ICT advisor Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed.

The government is working to digitize about 700 more services by 2021.

The government has taken such steps so that the people can get services more easily and smoothly. He said the national helpline 333 is running.

This helpline has ensured the inclusion of the countrymen in the digitization policy.

He said: “the government has launched a national web portal to ensure transparency. The portal has more than 51,512 integrated websites so that the citizens of Bangladesh can easily access information from public offices, ministries, and other departments.”
