Digital technology to swap conventional farming: Jabbar

Dhaka: Posts and Telecommunications Minister has said that will transform traditional farming in all parts of the country, including Haor.

Noting that the challenges ahead cannot be met without new technology-appropriate education, he said, “The big crisis of the digital technology age is the crisis of jobs for people educated in general education.” The government is determined to end this crisis. ”

Mustafa Jabbar said: “it is unthinkable to do a virtual program of Haor from Dhaka. He said life in the vast haor area from Bhairab Bazar to Garo Hills in the north is not the same as in other parts of the country. This whole area becomes ‘sea in monsoon and desert in autumn'.

He said ICT companies are now operating from the haor area.

“Outsourcing work is being done in 21 countries of the world from a village 5 miles away from Dharmapasha. There are 48 programmers working now. This is the achievement of Digital Bangladesh.”

Speakers at the event highlighted the various programs undertaken by the government including the development of digital technology, communication, and agriculture, and expressed hope that this progress would continue.

Netrokona Deputy Commissioner Kazi Abdur Rahman presided over the function. Acting President of Khaliajuri Upazila Awami League Md. Ataur Rahman, General Secretary Abul Kalam Azad, CEO of Huawei Technology (Bangladesh) Ltd. Zhang Zhengjian, Local-Upazila Chairman (Acting) Sumon Chakraborty AHM Ariful Islam, Netrokona District Council member Golam Abu Ishaq and local Awami League leader Nazim Uddin Sarkar spoke.
