Bangladesh exports software to 80 countries: Jabbaar

Dhaka: exports billions of dollars worth of to 80 countries, according to the Bangladesh Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar.

He was speaking at the virtual inauguration ceremony of the Automation of CA Examination System Software organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Bangladesh (ICAB) in Dhaka on Tuesday night.

Speaking as the chief guest, Mustafa Jabbar said Bangladesh would lead the fourth industrial revolution if it could harness the talents, skills, and creativity of the young people of the country. Today's young generation is growing up with digital skills. They need to give digital education.

Highlighting the importance of technology in auditing programs, the Minister said that in this age of digitalization, chartered accountants need to be aware of the latest methods of auditing in line with technology for professional reasons. Gaining their skills in using different types of software applications and technologies is essential.

He said the Father of the Nation has sown the seeds for the establishment of Digital Bangladesh through the establishment of a satellite center in Betbunia, formation of the T&T Board, membership of the International Telecommunications, and Universal Postal Union, and nationalization of primary education. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has transformed it through her visionary leadership.

Mustafa Jabbar said that it is possible to use this software in the field of education in the national and international arena. Digital Bangladesh means Bangabandhu's conviction to establish Sonar . Following this, Bangladesh has set an example in the world.

ICAB President Mahmudul Hasan Khasru, ICAB Vice President. Abdul Quader Joardar, ICAB officer Swadesh Ranjan Saha and others spoke. ICAB Vice President Maria Hawlader presented the keynote address.
