Shared workspace provider has announced its new facility in Bangalore that encompasses a footprint of 3 lakh square feet and 6000 seats taking the company's total office space to 10 lakh square feet in India. This is in line with the company's plans to grow its footprint by nearly 400% with its new centres in other tier-1 cities of Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. With this launch, Smartworks is taking its total number of centers in India to 15 across nine cities namely, Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad.

The ever-increasing demand for workspaces in Bangalore prompted Smartworks to add a new facility with as big a number of seats as 6,000. The expansion in the city of Chennai also owes to the rising demand there. The first facility in Chennai in Guindy was booked out 100 percent within two months of its launch which led to the new 1500 seater facility in OMR across 85180 sq. ft. area which has been presold 50 percent prior to its launch. Similarly, the Hyderabad facility has also been presold 50 percent, owing to an increased demand for workspaces in southern states of India. While in Mumbai, the company is adding another 900 seat capacity centre in Fleet House, this is in addition to the facility at Indiabulls in Lower Parel and Hyderabad is next to be launched soon.

India has seen a surge in shared workspace providers in the recent years wherein Smartworks has emerged as a true leader among enterprise clients. It has brought on board several marquee clients including Tata Communications, Microsoft, Arcelor Mittal, Amazon, Carrier, Otis, Daikin, Lenovo, Bacardi, Jaguar Land Rover and OLX among its 250+ strong client base. For enterprises, the approach to shared workspaces is a complete blend of convenience and business. While these companies can attain tailor-made offices via shared workspace providers like Smartworks and avoid the financial burden of a lease, it is also a tremendous opportunity for them to experience a holistic environment which leads to uplifting employee happiness and productivity. With its motto, ‘Workspaces that work for you', Smartworks aims to create a way of life, not just to provide an office space. Focused on state-of-the-art infrastructure, stimulating workspace design and latest office technologies combined with value-added services, Smartworks promises to deliver a “wow” office experience.

Neetish Sarda, Founder of Smartworks, said “Currently, Smartworks is leading the shared office space in India, and with our upcoming expansions, we are reaching exponential growth levels, both in terms of revenue and office experience for our employees. We want our member companies to leverage the tremendous opportunities across our network and grow through the shared workplace model. This collaborative experience will usher in a new era of co-entrepreneurship fostering in a conducive environment designed to adapt the challenges of a perpetually changing business world.”

“Smartworks has taken into consideration that current traditional office spaces in India are out of sync with aspiring workforce needs of the youth that wants around the clock exposure to the shared economy, modern consumerism and western practices. With differentiators such as understanding the needs of the Indian corporates and providing customized offices, state of the art infrastructure, employee engagement programs, Smartworks is completely disrupting the traditional office spaces,” Neetish said.

As a part of the Smartweekenday campaign focused on employee happiness, Smartworks organizes regular events ranging from fitness, ‘shared-knowledge' opportunities, food trails, skill-building workshops, leadership series, whiskey tastings, music and dance therapy, bringing pets to work, to learning new courses and languages. This helps foster collaboration within the organizations. Culture and engagement are vital parts of the employee experience. Companies are looking at employee journeys, studying the aspirations of their workforce, and trying to better understand the employee experience. Workplace design, employee happiness, and work productivity systems are all becoming an indelible part of the corporate ecosystem and Smartworks is the leader in this space.
