Mumbai based UAV software and AI hardware startup DroniTech has raised $500,000 in Seed funding from Eagle Group, a security firms. DroniTech offers four Artificial Intelligence based drone hardware products for agriculture, medical emergency, disaster box (food, supplies) and aerial fixed UAV (day and night surveillance).
Onkar Bhosle founder of DroniTech said the funding will be used to drive product development and R&D in Mumbai/USA, and to ramp up growth through sales and marketing. “In 2018, we will focus our energies on a few priority markets like India, USA and Canada. In 2019 the company looks to expand beyond these markets globally”.
The company informed that all drones are connected with proprietary sensor technology and drone management software developed by DroniTech in last 12 months. DroniTech's software would help corporates manage, maintain and monitor their industrial drones on a single dashboard.
“Our vision is for Drones to manage Agriculture farms and other applications on their own, better than humans. Right now, each data point of flying drones is transmitted on the dashboard in real-time. In Phase 3 of our product, we would enter the exciting phase of Automated Decision Making by the machine” DroniTech Chairman Mr. Onkar Bhosle said.
The lead investor Eagle Group Executive Director, Joge Bharadwaj said “We truly believe in the DroniTech vision of becoming one of the top companies for manufacturing AI drones and Drone Management software and supplying globally. Eagle group plans to implement multi-million dollar Aerial security and surveillance projects along with DroniTech team in India and Globe”
DroniTech is co-founded by Chirag Patel, Rohit Shirke and Anisha Bhosle who have their engineering backgrounds from Mumbai University. Founding Management team also includes UAV expert and Army veteran Brigadier Prasad, who has 20 years of deep UAV tech foundational planning, procurement and operation of UAV for Indian Army.
