We are entering into the international markets. The US is the first potential market followed by the UK but we will continue to strengthen our operations in India, says Ankit Jain, CEO, MyOperator.

US being the first potential market followed by the UK. We will continue to strengthen our operations in India market simultaneously by capturing the majority of SMBs in India.”

Tell us about MyOperator, what kind of solutions you offer?

MyOperator is a cloud-based call management system that provides call optimization solutions for businesses. Being a SAAS product, it does not require any hardware or software installation. It provides a complete analytical report of all the calls received by a business, both department, and user wise. This helps analyze the call performance of the business. India being an emerging economy outnumbers the SMEs in India. SME are adopting new technology to grow their business. It is not one feature which SMB asks for it is the pool of services they demand. The offering which Operator provides to SMEs and SMBs are IVR System; Cloud EPABX; Call Tracking; and Call Recording.

How do you monetize your platform?

MyOperator is a SaaS platform and its revenue model is a subscription-based model. The subscription plans start from Rs.18,000 per annum.

What are the verticals in which your solutions have been deployed?

Our solution has been deployed in every industry. It is a sector agnostic product. The key sectors where our product is deployed ranging from hospitality, e-commerce, education, real estate; politics are few sectors to name. Citing few names, Lenskart, Kebab Xpress, FoodPanda, FIITJEE, Snapdeal.

What is the size of cloud telephony market in India?

According, to a report by Data Bridge Market Research Global Cloud-Based Contact Center Market accounted for $6.11 billion in 2016 growing at a CAGR of 24.3% during the forecast period of 2017 to 2024. As per a research, the cloud telephony market in India is expected to be around $100 billion by 2020. The further segregation of Enterprise customer communication is about 7 moving to the cloud and the size of enterprise communication market is about USD 7 billion in India, which is a huge opportunity as cloud telephony is a sector agnostic.

What are the challenges your industry face?

MyOperator is a bootstrapped startup and it growing at an exponential rate. Initially, we faced a lot of challenges. The major challenge was to raise funds.  There is always a need for capital to start a venture and we overcome this challenge with the support of both friends & family. The second challenge was to make people believe in the idea of voice communication, being new to the business people didn't believe in the idea. There was a challenge of selling the product to the customer as well.

What would be your focus in next one year?

MyOperator is in its 5th year of operation in the Indian market. With this, MyOperator is expanding geographically and entering into the international markets. U.S being the first potential market followed by the UK. MyOperator will continue to strengthen its operations in India market simultaneously by capturing the majority of SMBs in India. MyOperator is also optimizing its solution for both the Indian and International Market by adding new features to its product. Indian businesses can now utilize ‘click-o-call' whereas, for U.S market, we are focusing on ‘web-call' as a key feature where businesses can use web for making calls to any mobile number.
