ThinkPad has been synonym with quality and durability and it has been able to retain this precious quality even after moving from American boss to Chinese head. Recently, company launched which is good mix of specifications, hardware and performance and most importantly, it is not exorbitantly priced!

Lenovo Thinkpad L470 body is made of premium materials and it looks premium. With a chassis made from glass and carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic, the ThinkPad has a solid and durable build. It comes in a charcoal-black finish, has a slim 14-inch display and the acclaimed keyboard that is ergonomically designed to make typing more comfortable and to reduce errors.

The keyboard features white and gray lettering, while buttons above the touchpad have red and purple accents. The L470 has a full high definition display. Its images are sharp though at times I found the screen to be somewhat dim. The machine has numerous ports that are helpful in business settings. On its left side, the has a power adaptor, USB 3.0 connector and 3.5mm headphone jack. The right side features a SIM card slot (for those who buy it with a 4G modem), two USB 3.0 connectors, a mini DisplayPort, Ethernet, VGA-out and a Kensington Lock slot, while the front lip has an SD card reader.

The laptop has ample storage and good battery life. The laptop is available with Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Signature Edition, which eliminates trial ware and unwanted apps. No distractions for end users, easy to provision by IT professionals. To put it bluntly, a no-nonsense operating system. Pairing the new 7th Generation Intel Core i processors with Intel Optane memory means the L470 is a high-performance machine, with the power to handle whatever business throws at it. Intel Optane technology lets you release the true power of the Intel Core processor, eliminating bottlenecks with fast storage memory that nevertheless stays non-volatile. This means that you simply kick it into high gear, and don't look back.

One can choose drive too. When one configure L470 storage, they can go with the latest and fastest PCIe solid-state drive or a larger-capacity mechanical hard disk drive. Each has advantages; go with whichever will integrate better with company need and preferences. L470 has all the battery power one need —more than 12 hours—to move from desk to meetings and elsewhere, and stay productive throughout the business day with plenty of charge left afterward.

Speakers are loud enough to fill a small-to-medium conference room, the ThinkPad L470 produces clear sound as well. Overall, it is light and speedy machine with great performance. It has a nice keyboard that provides an enjoyable typing experience. The powerful 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7600U processor ensures solid performance for multitasking and productivity. It is highly recommended for business users.
