The technology arm of L&T, the Larsen and Toubro Technology Services Ltd has set up an "engineering solutions delivery centre" in the Chennai, strengthening its collaboration with global wind power major Vestas.

The technology arm of L&T, the Larsen and Toubro Technology Services Ltd has set up an “engineering solutions delivery centre” in the Chennai, strengthening its collaboration with global wind power major Vestas, said company. The dedicated development centre in Chennai will facilitate cost-effective engineering solutions and focus on solutions in areas like energy storage, hybrid energy and smart products.

“We have helped to create global success stories in energy management and storage solutions as well as services for the solar and wind power segments,” , Chief Digital Officer, Bhupendra Bhate said. “We are excited to strengthen our partnership with Vestas by leveraging our expertise in automation, engineering analytics and the IoT for wind energy industry,” he said. L&T Technology Services has been associated with Vestas for over a decade as a “strategic engineering partner.

“Vestas works with long-term partners like L&T Technology to develop solutions that lower the cost of energy, ensure flexibility in product development and shorten the amount of time needed to bring new products..,” Vestas, Senior Vice-President, Power Solutions, Andreas Burger said.

According to L&T Technology Services Limited it has helped to create global success stories in energy management and storage solutions as well as services for the solar and wind power segments. The company is excited to strengthen its partnership with Vestas by leveraging our expertise in automation, engineering analytics and the IoT for the wind energy industry.

LTTS, having 12 global delivery centres in India and overseas, 27 sales offices and 34 labs across India, North America Europe, West Asia and Asia, is focused on engineering and R&D services. The company offers consultancy, design, development and testing services across product and process development life cycle for various industrial products, medical devices, transportation, telecom & hi-tech, and the process industries. The company went public in September 2016.
