Data silos are main cause of inefficient decision making, says Varun Gupta of Qlik

Varun Gupta, Director - Government and Public Sector, Qlik says that fragmented data sources, multiple systems not talking to each other and data silos are main cause of inefficiency in decision making and that is an area that Qlik addresses by removing those complexities and silos.

While emphasising the dire need for removing silos and having better visibility across different systems and machines, , Director – Government and , said that defence organisation must have an integrated view of assets.

Sharing his views on the ‘Role of Data Analytics for Defence Sector,' during the National Summit 2022, he said fragmented data sources, multiple systems not talking to each other and data silos are main cause of inefficiency in decision making and that is an area that Qlik addresses by bringing the data sets, different systems and people together and thereby removing those complexities and silos.

“We help in bring the data and insight to the right people, at the right time, when it is needed, so that defence organisations can make efficient and fast decision,” he said.

To focus and create awareness about building a digital foundation to create, run, manage, connect, and intrinsically secure and protect any application on any device and to also find out how next-generation technologies such as and machine learning, are modernising and innovating various aspects of India's defence strategy, National DefTech Summit 2022 was organised on November 25 at The Oberoi in New Delhi by Tech Observer Magazine.
