Google to launch new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro at the ‘Made by Google’ show

Global technology major is set to unveil its new and at the ‘Made by Google' launch event later on Thursday. The ‘Made by Google' event will take place in the Williamsburg neighbourhood of New York City.

The show will be live streamed at GoogleStore.com/events for people in the US, Australia and Great Britain. For those outside these countries can watch the live stream on Google's official YouTube handle.

The tech giant will also be sharing real-time updates across its social media platforms during and after the event. According to the company, the ‘Made by Google' event will showcase two smartphones – the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, along with the latest smart home devices from Nest.

Google had teased the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and the Google Pixel Watch at Google I/O event held in May 2022. Both the smartphones will run on Android 13 and feature the next generation of Tensor chip. As per rumours, Google is expected to make the switch to the Tensor G2, which is allegedly bringing in GPU, NPU and modem improvements.

Talking about cameras, the Pixel 7 Pro will most likely have similar 50MP main, 12MP ultra wide and 48MP telephoto setup as its predecessor, though the tele camera will allegedly use a new sensor, a stepping in to replace the Sony IMX586.

The Pixel 7 Pro may be available at a starting price of Rs 73,400, whereas the Pixel 7 may be priced at Rs 48,900.

Meanwhile, the Google Pixel Watch is the first smartwatch designed by the tech giant and also the first product to mark the collaboration between the company and fitness electronics company Fitbit. The smartwatch will be introduced with Google's reimagined WearOS.

Google claims that the new smartwatch has been designed to work with all Pixel and Android smartphones. The Google Pixel Watch is also compatible with Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel Buds A-Series.
